Former Quakes Academy player and current Santa Clara goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh has been named to the U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team roster for the upcoming U-20 FIFA World Cup. The U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team, under the leadership of head coach Tab Ramos, travels to Turkey for the tournament from June 21 – July 13.
McIntosh is one of the 17 current U-20 MNT players who helped the team finish as the runner-up for the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship earlier this year. He and the squad just finished the U-21 Toulon Tournament in France this week, and they will travel to Turkey for the World Cup.
The U.S. opens play in Group A against Spain on Friday, June 21 in Istanbul. Their second match of the group play is against France on June 24 in Istanbul, and they finish group play against Ghana in Kayseri, Turkey on June 27.
