When: Saturday, December 12 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Who: Anyone interested in working for the Earthquakes and Spectra - by Comcast Spectator (formerly known as Ovations) as part of the game day staff. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States, must be 18 years or older and must bring a valid form of identification.
What: Positions include ushers, bartenders, suite servers, concession workers and more.
The Earthquakes will conduct interviews for the following positions:
Retail Associate – responsible for selling merchandise to customers and assisting customers in a professional manner. Associate will maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked store/kiosk. Assist with loading and unloading of merchandise. Require basic math skills to accurately handle cash drawer and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Conversion Crew – Game day labor. Responsible for setting up for Avaya Stadium events. Must be able to be on their feet for long periods of time, be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to work nights weekends and holidays. Having a forklift license is a plus.
Earthquakes Street Team – brand ambassadors responsible for promoting the San Jose Earthquakes at events at Avaya Stadium and throughout the Bay Area. Candidates must be outgoing, professional, committed, and enthusiastic. The role includes responsibilities at all Earthquakes home games such as in-game promotions, on-field ceremonies, and fan engagement.
Event Usher - Each Usher will serve as a friendly, primary point of contact for San Jose Earthquakes fans. This role will be responsible for ensuring guests are entering the section associated with their ticket, assisting guests in finding their seats, communicating any issues with their supervisor, as well as providing all fans with a positive customer service experience.
Spectra - by Comcast Spectator (formerly known as Ovations) will be hiring for the following positions:
Bartender - Responsible for serving guest’s hard liquor/beer/wine during events while ensuring all policies and procedures regarding alcohol dispensing are followed. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.
Concession Line Cook - Responsible for preparing concession menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Concession Line Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Portion control, food waste and sanitation are additional areas that the Concession Line Cook must be aware of while operating in the concession stand.
The Cashier / Customer Service Representative - Responsible for greeting guests in a pleasant manner while filling food and beverage orders. The Cashier /Customer Service Representative 1 will operate the Point of Sale system and collect money for purchased food and beverage items.
Distribution Worker - Responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of food, beverage and paper stock throughout the venue. The Distribution Worker 1 is expected to complete other task related to the maintenance of the warehouse including sweeping, mopping, organizing storage areas and cleaning commissary dishes.
Kitchen Cook - Responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests throughout the venue. The Kitchen Cook is responsible for working production line stations, Sautee and Grill Stations, must also communicate and coordinate production for Fry and Cold Station and work directly with Executive Chef to coordinate and deliver quality menu items to our guests throughout the stadium. Will also on occasion have direct contact with the public working in areas such as a buffet line slicing meats or preparing dishes to order.
Kitchen Dishwasher/ Utility Worker - Responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the kitchen and restaurants by maintaining cleanliness standards through the operation of dishwashing equipment and sinks, polishing silverware, removing garbage, cleaning of equipment and work areas including the sweeping and mopping of floors. The Kitchen Utility Worker will also assist in general food preparation for events.
Receiving Clerk - Responsible for receiving in product and verifying the accuracy to vendor invoices. Ensures that product is rotated and checks dates for freshness. Assists with general distribution duties in addition to their daily receiving.
Suite & Catering Club Wait Staff - Responsible for serving guests in the venue Suites, Catering and Club In-seat areas. Must be personable and able to work in an ever- changing fast-paced environment.
Vault Cashier - Responsible for processing, balancing and reporting of cash receipts during events. Assist in preparation of starting banks, balancing of event change orders and other related cash functions.
