This week and next, the San Jose Earthquakes will be diligently preparing for their upcoming MLS match against New York City FC on Saturday, April 1. However, head coach Dominic Kinnear and Co. will be a bit thinner on the training field with several Quakes players out on international duty.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22
Curacao vs. El Salvador

play their first of two friendlies later today against Curacao. The Salvadorans will then take on CD Olympia from the Honduras Professional National League on March 26
FRIDAY, MARCH 24
Italy vs. Albania

joins up with Albania for a match against Italy. Albania has a respectable 2-2-0 record after four games, but will have to finish in the top-two of Group G in order to have a chance of advancing to Round 2. Italy is one of three teams currently ahead of them and a victory here could go a long way towards them advancing.
Trinidad and Tobago vs. Panama

suit up for team USA in this ever-important showdown with Honduras at the Earthquakes’ home. The Americans sit in dead last after two matches (0-2-0; -5 GD) and aren’t quite viewing this as do-or-die, but it’s getting close.
Mexico vs. Costa Rica

The New Zealand All-Whites and Earthquakes defender

head into their third match of Oceania qualifying with a 1-0-1 record. A win over Fiji puts them in excellent position to advance from Group A and compete in the OFC Final. The winner of the OFC Final match plays the fifth place team from CONMEBOL with a spot in the World Cup on the line.
