Northern California has been ravaged by the most destructive fire in California history. 11,000 firefighters have worked tirelessly to contain the 250 fires that have displaced entire communities in the North Bay; leaving 8,400 structures, including 6,000 homes, to rebuild. In response to this disaster, Bay Area businesses and community leaders have organized Band Together, a benefit concert to support long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts.
Band Together will take place tomorrow, November 9th at AT&T Park at 6:00 pm. Tickets are available via their website, with 100% of proceeds directed to the Tipping Point Emergency Relief Fund. Band Together will feature many artists such as Metallica, G-Eazy, Dead and Company, and Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds.
In order to help aide this relief the San Jose Earthquakes are auctioning off four Quakes Firefighter Appreciation hats and one scarf, signed by Lars Frederiksen. Lars, a native of Campbell, is a musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer best known as the guitarist and vocalist for Rancid, who will be performing at the benefit concert. He is a Quakes Season Pass Holder, and a member of the band The Old Firm Casuals who wrote the Quakes team anthem “Never Say Die” back in 2014. Bidding for the auction will start at $40 for each hat, and $60 for the scarf via our Gesture page until tonight at 5 p.m.
