The Quarterfinals are set. After a whirlwind group stage that saw all three Earthquakes players advance, the first knockout round is slated to begin on Wednesday.
After finishing in the top spot in Group A with an undefeated 2-0-1 record, Marco Ureña and Costa Rica take on Anibal Godoy and Panama on Wednesday, July 19 at 3 p.m. PT. The Panamanians also finished with a 2-0-1 record and +4 goal differential, but lagged behind the United States in goals for (7-6), thus finishing in second place in Group B.
Later that evening (6 p.m. PT), Darwin Ceren and El Salvador face off against the United States. The Salvadorans were one of two third place teams to advance from the group stage, finishing with a 1-1-1 record in Group C.
Both of the aforementioned quarterfinals can be watched live on FS1, UniMas and UDN. The winners of these two matches will meet in the semifinals on Saturday, July 22 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
On July 20, at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona, the other two quarterfinals will take place. Canada takes on Jamaica (4:30 p.m. PT, FS1/Univision) and Mexico battles Honduras (7:30 p.m. PT, FS1/Univision). The winners will then square off on Sunday, July 23 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
