The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup officially kicked off this past Friday when hosts France downed South Korea 4-0. An action-packed weekend followed that did not disappoint soccer fans in the slightest. Now, all eyes are on the United States Women’s National Team as they gear up to take on Thailand on Tuesday, June 11, at 12:00 p.m. and begin their world champion title defense.
The USWNT played three send-off matches in the month of May to help them prepare for the World Cup. It seems that the team is ready more than ever with those matches against South Africa, New Zealand, and Mexico resulting in three shutouts and 11 goals scored. The U.S. Women’s National Team will hope to continue that run of form throughout the World Cup and be crowned World Cup winners for the fourth time.
The USWNT will also play Chile on Sunday, June 16, at 9:00 a.m. and Sweden on Thursday, June 20, at 12:00 p.m.
Join the Earthquakes on Tuesday, June 11, as they will be hosting a viewing party for the USWNT match against Thailand. If you plan on attending any World Cup viewing parties, you must RSVP here.
