Earthquakes Academy product Andrew Paoli continues to impress for the United States U-18 men’s national team.
On Monday, the San Jose native scored the game-winning goal for the red, white and blue to defeat eventual champion Portugal 2-1 in the 23rd Lisbon International U-18 Tournament.
Paoli, who is currently playing for the Quakes’ PDL affiliate Burlingame Dragons FC, was a staple in the United States’ lineup during all three tournament fixtures against Japan, Norway and host Portugal.
Paoli will start his collegiate career next fall at UCLA after signing with the Bruins in February.
