On March 11, Dave Kaval embarked on an unbelievable sports journey that would take him from state to state and baseball diamond to soccer pitch in less than 24 hours.
On Saturday morning, the president of Oakland A’s and the San Jose Earthquakes revealed #DavesDoubleHeader to fans of both teams on his social media accounts.
The plan? Watch the Athletics play the Texas Rangers in Spring Training in Scottsdale, Ariz. before catching a flight back to San Jose to watch the Quakes battle Western Conference foe Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Week 2 of the MLS regular season.
Throughout the day, Kaval provided live updates on his Instagram and Twitter accounts, documenting his entry into both stadiums, his flight from Scottsdale to San Jose, his interaction with players from both teams and photos with both adoring mascots.
