Dr. Richard Gayle and Dr. Daniel Ouyang – Dr. Richard Gayle and Dr. Daniel Ouyang   are the Team Physicians for the San Jose Earthquakes and Academy Teams.  Dr. Gayle specializes in advanced arthroscopic surgery, orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, while Dr. Ouyang specializes in internal and sports medicine. Since the onset of COVID-19 in March, Dr. Gayle and Dr. Ouyang, along with the Sutter Health Palo Alto Medical Foundation, have been working extensively in collaborating with top health officials and Santa Clara County leaders, overseeing protocols and preparing the team for the MLS is Back Tournament and continuation of the regular season, as well as assuring the health and safety of the first team players and keeping them informed of the latest news and restrictions. Their medical work continues to ensure  the health and safety of the Quakes as they now prepare for the 2021 MLS season.
