You’re officially a Quakes Devotion Scarf recipient! Explain what it means to you to get this honor?
"Receiving a Quakes Devotion scarf means a lot to me. It is recognition of the dedication of my time over the last decade showing up, supporting, and trying to grow support for the team. It is an honor to be recognized for my contribution to the Quakes soccer community."
Talk to us about your Quakes fandom. How long have you been cheering on the black & blue? What is your most memorable moment?
"Oddly enough, I started really following soccer right after the Quakes were moved to Houston. When the team returned in 2008, I vowed to make sure to support my local club. I not only supported, but became actively involved. In 2009, I became a season ticket holder. Ten years later, I am still here. Choosing my most memorable moment is a tough one, but I will have to go with Chris Wondolowski’s scoring four goals against Chicago and breaking the MLS goal record. I cried after the goal went in that he broke the record on. It was a momentous day."
Who is your favorite Quakes player and why?
"My favorite Quakes player is Chris Wondolowski. He rejoined the Quakes at the same time that I was becoming involved with the team and so there is the connection there. His humility and genuineness are undeniable. He’s the guy that sees you at the beginning of a new season and asks you how your family is doing and how your holidays went. The legend that you see today is the same dude that I met in 2009."
What would be your message to Quakes fans out there?
"The motto of this club is 'Never Say Die,' and that comes down to the fans too. Through the bad times and good, we need to support the boys in black and blue. Show up, be loud, and Go Quakes!"
