• What’s the story of how you became a Quakes fan?

Maryela Ramirez- I have always had a love for soccer but I became a Quakes fan about 4 years ago when my now husband, Miguel, introduced me to the Quakes. The energy in the air was intoxicating and I was immediately hooked!

• What’s your favorite Quakes memory?

Maryela Ramirez- My favorite Quakes memory was when Seismic Union was announced and seeing the giant 70ft tifo we worked so hard on unfold. After so many obstacles, Epicentro74 was officially recognized as a supporters group under Seismic Union and all the sacrifices began to pay off.

• What does receiving the Devotion Scarf mean to you?

*Maryela Ramirez- Receiving the Devotion Scarf is such an honor. I’ve worked so hard alongside other Epicentro74 members and to be recognized is such an amazing feeling!

I’d like to dedicate this moment to my daughter Camila. Many will try to discourage you and tell you that you will fail but remember, mamá will always be there to root for you and tell you “Tu puedes!”.

• Who is your favorite Quakes player of all time and why?

Maryela Ramirez- This is such a difficult question! There are several players that I enjoy watching but if I have to choose Wondo & Salinas are my all-time favorites!

• What would you like to say to all the Quakes fans out there?

Maryela Ramirez- Se gana, se pierde, se sufre, pero jamás se abandona! In other words… “Never say Die!”
