SAN JOSE, Calif. –
In anticipation of the 2016 Copa America Centenario, the tournament’s trophy will visit the Bay Area from April 22 to April 25 while completing a national tour. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the second-largest global soccer event in the world, the tour will make stops in San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose and Santa Clara with opportunities for fans in every city to see the trophy. The tournament will open on Friday, June 3, when host United States welcomes Colombia to Levi's Stadium in Group A action (7:30 p.m. PT). The other matches held at Levi’s Stadium include a rematch of the 2015 Copa America final between Argentina and Chile on June 6 (7 p.m. PT), Uruguay vs. Jamaica on June 13 (7 p.m. PT), and a Quarterfinal between the winner of Group C and the runner-up in Group D on June 18 (7 p.m. PT).
