When did you first become a Quakes fan?

• Arqui: My dad has always been super into soccer, he used to play in a league here in San Jose. We used to live really close to Spartan stadium, so we would be able to walk over to the games.

• Angel: Ya, our dad would take us to all of the games growing up. Whenever we could go we would.

What about that experience made you become a fan?

• Angel: My dad was really into soccer and would take us to all of his practice and games growing up. We were always around soccer growing up. Then with my brother, we got really close going to the games together as fans.

Who is your favorite Quakes Player of all time?

• Arqui: Wondo, just because he's Wondo. I remember I was at the game he got a red card at and he came into our section, it just solidified for me that he was my favorite. Maybe soon I’ll get my Wondo tattoo.

• Angel: Dwayne De Resario, he had a really cool celebration. I also love Wondo though, he really connects with the Ultras, but if I had to pick probably Dwayne.

What is your favorite memory as a Quakes fan?

• Angel: Seeing Wondo’s record breaking goal. It wasn’t the best season so seeing that happen was insane. The Rain made it a crazy experience too, the atmosphere was insane.

• Arqui: Yea, that was the best memory. The rain and the fact that most people had left made the goal even crazy.

What were your first reactions when you heard you were receiving the Devotion Scarf?

• Angel: At first it was a little strange, because you know being part of the Supporter’s Section, everyone is involved. So being singled out, I felt a little weird, but after talking to a bunch of people they reassured me that I have earned it. Especially being a fan since i was a kid.

• Arqui: It definitely felt weird at first, because there are so many other people who deserve it. It is a huge honor to be recognized and receive this though.

Is there anything you want to say to other Quakes fans?

• Angel: Shoutout to the Ultras, they have been a huge reason I come back each season.

• Arqui: Sticking by a team that has struggled in the past, makes the wins and championships that much better.
