On Monday, the U-17 Girls’ Academy will take on Nationals in their Semifinal match in the Development Academy Playoffs at 5:30 p.m. PT in Kansas City Mo. The U-17s have defeated all four of their opponents in the playoffs, including a 2-1 win over Penn Fusion in the quarterfinals.
Additionally, U-17 Girls’ Academy midfielder Sophie Jones was named the Development Academy’s Player of the Year in the U-17 West Conference. Quakes Academy members Sophie Jones, Andrea Kitahata, Abigail Borchers and Mia Fontana were all named to the U-17 West Conference’s Best XI. Defender Jean-Julien Foe Nuphaus was named to the Boys’ Development Academy Best XI for the U-19 West Conference.
