The Quakes Boys’ Academy faced the EBU Bay Oaks at the U-12, U-13 and U-14 levels. Both U-12 squads won with 5-0 and 4-0 results, the U-13s won 14-0 and U-14s won 3-2. The U-15s and U-17s attended the Generation adidas Cup, where the U-15s won all three of their games during the weekend with a 4-2 win against Real Salt Lake, a 3-0 win against Houston Dynamo and a 3-1 victory over Sporting Kansas City. While the U-17s weren’t as successful, the opportunity to play against top clubs in the nation gave the young men invaluable experience. On Saturday, Oct. 14, the U-12s and U-14s will face Santa Rosa United, and the U-15s, U-17s and U-19s will face the Portland Timbers. On Sunday, Oct. 15, the U-15s, U-17s and U-19s will face the Seattle Sounders FC.
The Quakes Girls’ Academy faced La Roca Futbol Club on Saturday. The U-14s won 5-0, U-15s tied 1-1, U-17s won 6-1 and U-19s fell 4-2. The girls will next play PSV Union Football Club on Saturday, Oct. 14.
