On Saturday, April 28, the Boys’ Academy teams took on Santa Cruz Breakers Academy. The U-13s won 5-0, U-14s won 5-0, U-15s lost 2-1, U-17s lost 4-0 and U-19s lost 3-1. On Sunday, April 29 the U-13 and U-14 Boys’ Academy teams took on Santa Rosa United. The U-13s tied 1-1 and the U-14s lost 3-1.
The Boys’ Academy teams will travel to Southern California this weekend to face Nomads SC and San Diego Surf. Times and locations for the matches can be found here.
On Saturday, April 28, Burlingame SC forfeited all of their matches against the Quakes Girls’ Academy teams. The Girls’ Academy teams will take on Placer United on Saturday, May 5. Times and locations for the matches can be found here.
In other news, Quakes Academy defenders Israel Carrillo, Casey Walls and the U.S. U-16 BNT are preparing for their third place match against Japan in the Torneo Delle Nazioni in Italy. The U-16s won all of their group matches against Italy, Macedonia and Croatia before losing to Slovenia in semifinals on penalty kicks. In the tournament, Carrillo tallied three appearances, two starts and three clean sheets while Walls tallied three appearances, two starts and two clean sheets.
