The U-13 and U-14 Boys’ Academy teams took on Placer United on Saturday, March 17. The U-13s won 5-1 and the U-14s won 2-0. The U-15, U17 and U-19 Boys’ Academy teams took on Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy on Saturday, March 17. The U-15s lost 3-1, the U-17s lost 5-0 and the U-19s lost 1-0. The U-15, U-17 and U-19 Boys’ Academy teams took on Crossfire Premier on Sunday, March 18. The U-15s lost 5-0, the U-17s lost 2-0 and the U-19s lost 4-3.
This week, the U-17 Boys’ Academy heads to Frisco, Texas for the Generation Adidas Cup. In the group stage the U-17s will face Chicago Fire on March 23, New York Red Bulls on March 25 and Tigres UANL on March 27. The rest of the Boys’ Academy Teams will return to action on April 7 when they take on De Anza Force.
The Girls’ Academy teams had a perfect 4-0 record against PSV Union FC on Saturday, March 17. The U-14s won 5-0, the U-15s won 4-0, the U-17s won 13-0 and the U-19s won 3-2. This Sunday, March 25, the Girls’ Academy teams will face SC del Sol.
In other news, Sophie Jones has been called up the U-17 U.S. Women’s National Team camp in Lakewood Ranch Fla. The camp will feature three scrimmages against Japan’s U-17 National Team which will serve as preparation for the 2018 U-17 CONCACAF Championship in Nicaragua beginning on April 29.
