The San Jose Earthquakes Boys’ Academy U-19s opened the 2019 Playoffs with a 3-2 win against the Philadelphia Union on Monday, June 17. As the week went on, they fell 2-0 to Nomads SC and tied 0-0 against Sockers FC.
The U-15s and U-17s competed in the 2019 Summer Showcase. The U-15s went 1-1-1 in Summer Showcase play, picking up a win against Shattuck – St. Mary’s (2-0), a loss against D.C. United (5-0), and a draw against Orlando City SC (1-1). The U-17s also put up a similar record of 1-1-1, falling to the New England Revolution (3-2), drawing against North Carolina FC Youth, and defeating the Colorado Rapids (3-2).
The No. 1-ranked Girls’ Academy U-15s were victorious in both matches to date of the 2019 Playoffs. They defeated So Cal Blues Soccer Club 3-0 and picked up their second win (3-2) against Oakwood Soccer Club. The Girls’ Academy U-17s picked up a win and a loss in their Summer Showcase run. The team defeated Sky Blue – NYSC 2-0 and fell 2-1 against the PA Classics. The U-17s will face United Futbol Academy on Wednesday, June 26.
