At just 14 years of age, Quakes Academy winger Cade Cowell has been called up to the United States U-17 Men’s National Team alongside academy alum Gilbert Fuentes. The U-17s will head to Mexico to take on the hosts, Argentina and Chile in the Four Nations Tournament. Read the full story here.
The Girls’ Academy took on San Diego Surf and LA Galaxy San Diego this past Saturday and Sunday, respectively. On Saturday, the U-14s tied 2-2, U-15s won 1-0, U-17s tied 1-1 and the U-19s lost 2-0. On Sunday, the U-14s tied 0-0, U-15s won 3-0, U-17s won 3-1 and the U-19s lost 4-2.

Over the weekend, the U-13 Boys’ academy took on Star Academy FC while the U-15, U-17 and U-19 boys took on Sacramento Republic FC. The U-13s won 11-0, U-15s lost 3-0, U-17s lost 4-0 and the U-19s lost 2-0.
The Boys’ Academy will have a bye this week but will return to USSDA league play when they take on Placer United SC in Davis, Calif. on Oct. 13. Times and locations for these matches can be found here.
