The Quakes Boys’ Academy were in Danville on Saturday, Feb. 23 for a pair of matches versus Mustang SC. The U-13s and U-14s scored 10 goals as a collective in their respective matches, with both sides winning by a score of 5-0. The Boys’ Academy schedule for the upcoming weekend includes matches against the Portland Timbers, Placer United Soccer Club, and Santa Rosa United on Saturday, March 2. The Boys’ Academy will also take on Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday, March 3.
The Girls’ Academy squads were in Arizona over the weekend and faced Utah Royals FC on Saturday, Feb. 23, and SC del Sol on Sunday, Feb. 24. Against Utah Royals FC, the U-14s won 3-1, the U-15s earned a 4-0 shutout win, but the U-17s and U-19s both fell by a score of 2-1. On Saturday, the U-14s and U-15s both earned 2-0 victories in their respective matches against SC del Sol, while the U-17s drew 1-1, and the U-19s fell 3-0. The Girls are back in San Jose this weekend to face Placer United Soccer Club on Saturday, March 2 at Evergreen Community College.
