The San Jose Earthquakes U-14 Boys’ Academy defeated Manchester City 2-0 in their first match of the Nexen Manchester City Cup in Oceanside, Calif. The Quakes begin the tournament with three points thanks to goals from Ethan Kohler and Niko Tsakiris.
The Quakes are currently leading Group A of the 2005 International Super Group with Atlanta United FC sitting in second following their 3-2 victory over Strikers FC. The Quakes will complete their double header when they face Atlanta at SoCal Sports Complex later today.
