It was a busy weekend on campus for Quakes academy alumni as several underclassmen were called to action for their respective universities. From schools on the east coast to schools on the west coast, we broke down how a number of former academy players fared on the pitch.
Freshman John Austin-Ricks - Syracuse
- Came on in the 61st minute in a 2-0 win against Boston College on Sept. 17.
Sophomore JT Marcinkowski - Georgetown
- Started, played 90 minutes and recorded eight saves in a 1-0 win against Providence on Sept. 17.
Junior Alex Liua - UC Santa Barbara
- Came on as a 63rd minute substitute in a thrilling 2-1 overtime loss to UCLA on Sept. 17.
Sophomore Amir Bashti - Stanford
- Came on as a 86th minute substitute in a 3-1 win over Harvard on Sept. 16.
- Came on as a 70th minute substitute in a 4-0 win over Omaha on Sept. 18.
Junior Josh Morton - Cal
- Started and played 84 minutes in a 2-0 win over Omaha on Sept. 16.
- Started and played 90 minutes in a 6-2 win over Harvard on Sept. 18.
Sophomore Samuel Ebstein - Cal
- Played 38 minutes in a 2-0 win over Omaha on Sept. 16.
- Recorded an assist in a 6-2 win over Harvard on Sept. 18.
Junior Bryce Clark - SMU
- Started and played 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Santa Clara on Sept. 16.
Freshman Armon Ojuola - UC Irvine
- Started and played 90 minutes in a 3-1 loss to New Mexico on Sept. 17.
Freshman Rei Dorwart - CSU Fullerton
- Made his first college start in a 2-0 loss to Saint Mary’s on Sept. 18.
Freshman Philip Hausen - Harvard
- Started and played 78 minutes in a 3-1 loss to Stanford on Sept. 16.
- Started and played 21 minutes in a 6-2 loss to Cal on Sept. 18.
Senior Nick Lima - Cal
- Started and played 90 minutes in a 2-0 win over Omaha on Sept. 16.
- Started and played 90 minutes in a 6-2 win over Harvard on Sept. 18.
