The San Jose Earthquakes Girls’ Academy have sent 13 players to the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team Identification Camp on Nov. 13 at Twin Creeks Sports Complex in Sunnyvale, Calif. The camp was ran by U.S. Soccer Talent Identification Manager Marieke Laurens to scout national-team prospects born in 2006.
Since its inception ahead of the 2017-18 USSDA season, the Quakes Girls’ Academy has sent 14 players to various youth national teams for training camps and international competitions. Since October of 2019, U.S. Soccer has called up seven Quakes Girls’ Academy players: Abby Borchers (U-18 WNT), Kayleen Gowers (U-18 WNT), Elise Evans (U-17 WNT), Andrea Kitahata (U-17 WNT), Emmie Ennis (U-15 GNT), Thy Tran (U-15 GNT) and Emma Wang (U-15 GNT).
With so much talent within the Quakes Academy, it’s no surprise that they were the most-represented club at the ID camp, occupying 13 spots of a 46-girl roster. See below for the Quakes players that participated in the ID Camp.
