On Aug. 10, the United States U-15 Girls’ National Team produced an 8-0 win over El Salvador in their final match of group play in the U-15 CONCACAF Championship. After finishing second in their eight-team division, the U.S. has earned a rematch against guest-team Portugal in the semifinals.
Earthquakes Academy players Elise Evans, America Frias and Yuna McCormack all featured in the win against El Salvador. Evans had a notable performance for the U-15s, securing the clean sheet after scoring her first international goal for the U.S. in the 16th minute. Frias and Evans both started and played the full 70 minutes of the match and McCormack was subbed in during the 63rd minute.
Evans, Frias, McCormack and the U-15s will take on Portugal in the CONCACAF semifinals on Aug. 11 at 6 a.m. PT. The match will be streamed live on Concacaf.com.
