Let's flashback to 1975 - the second year of Earthquakes' existence and the first-time the Quakes ever faced Cascadia-foe the Portland Timbers.
In front of a packed house of 17,889 at Spartan Stadium on June 14, 1975, Ilija Mitic led the Quakes over the Timbers, scoring both goals and securing the 2-1 victory.
Another fun fact? Current Quakes announcer and former Earthquake himself, Chris Dangerfield, was a part of that Timbers' inaugural squad, before joining the good guys in 1982.
