After San Jose’s draw in Vancouver, and losses by both FC Dallas and Real Salt Lake, the Quakes have moved from eighth to sixth place in the Western Conference. This Sunday, Oct. 22 at 12:45 pm, the San Jose Earthquakes will match up against Minnesota United FC to decide who will continue into the postseason. So, here are 10 reasons why you shouldn’t miss the Quakes and the Loons take the pitch:

1. The Earthquakes will be hosting Fan Appreciation Day. The first 5,000 fans to enter Avaya Stadium will receive a Quakes cell phone wallet and stand, courtesy of Pierry.
2. Fans have the opportunity to enter to win special prizes. Fans can visit the Brand Ambassadors booth in the 7UP Epicenter for a chance to win a player’s jersey off of his back, or an autographed Kick Childhood Cancer game ball.
3. At halftime, the Quakes will recognize a combination of 10 fans, staff and members of the Earthquakes family with Devotion Scarves. Those being honored will be recognized on the field for their devotion to the team. This year’s recipients have been announced.
4. This will be the second match ever between the San Jose Earthquakes and Minnesota United FC. This will also be the first time the Quakes host the expansion team.
5. Chris Wondolowksi is just one goal away from tying Justin Cunningham for second most goals in MLS history. Wondo is currently tied at third with Jaime Moreno with 133 goals.
6. Due to the time of kickoff, Avaya Stadium will be offering brunch food specials. Breakfast burritos, Mimosas, and Bloody Marys will be available at certain locations in the stadium.
7. Throughout the day, fans can enjoy the We Score You Score discount at the Quakes Team Store. For however many points the Quakes have in the standings, that is the percentage fans will receive off their purchase. After the draw in Vancouver, fans will now receive 43% off.
8. The Brass Animals will be performing in the 7UP Epicenter. Bay Area based hip-hop and R&B brass band The Brass Animals will be playing live music in the Epicenter before and after the match.
9. The TCL 4K Bar will be open after the match. Quakes players will be in the Epicenter mingling with fans and signing autographs. The Brass Animals will be playing live music.
10. And of course, if the Quakes win the game we will be headed to the 2017 MLS playoffs!
