SAN JOSE, Calif. – Earthquakes II fell to Sporting KC II 2-1 on Friday evening at PayPal Park. The result snaps Quakes II’s three-match unbeaten streak at home. Rudi Castro scored the lone goal for Earthquakes II and he has now scored one goal in each of the last two games.
After a scoreless first half, Sporting KC II scored two goals in the 59th and 61st minute to take the lead 2-0. Earthquakes II halved the deficit six minutes later through Rudi Castro but were not able to find the game equalizer in the remainder of the match.
Quakes II will now prepare to travel to Missouri to face St Louis CITY2 on Sunday, May 29. Kickoff from Hermann Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m. PT and the match will be broadcast live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
