SAN JOSE, Calif. – Earthquakes II fell to the Tacoma Defiance in a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw on Monday evening at PayPal Park. Both teams receive one point for the draw while Tacoma earns a second point for the shootout victory. Quakes II outshot their Pacific Division opponent 12-4.
Ousseni Bouda, making his first appearance in MLS NEXT Pro, scored both goals for Quakes II. Bouda was the Quakes’ first-round selection (No. 8 overall) in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft.
Quakes II will now travel to face Whitecaps FC 2 on Saturday, April 30. Kickoff from Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, British Columbia is scheduled for 3 p.m. PT and the match will be broadcast live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
