BLAINE, Minn. – Earthquakes II defeated Minnesota United FC 2 4-1 on Sunday evening at National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine, Minn. Quakes II close out the regular season with a 12-8-4 (41 pts.) overall record in the 2022 MLS Next Pro inaugural season, finishing in fifth place in the Western Conference.
Earthquakes II only needed two minutes after kickoff for Joaquin Eisenberg to open the scoring later followed by Max Arfsten before the half hour mark. Quakes II extended the lead through Rodolfo Castro Jr. for his 12th goal of the season. MNUFC2 attempted a comeback with Tani Oluwaseyi scoring for the home team in the 57th minute. Max Arfsten later found his second goal of the match for Quakes II’s fourth goal of the night.
