DENVER, Colo. – Earthquakes II fell to Colorado Rapids 2 2-1 on Friday afternoon at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium in Denver, Colo. The result sees Quakes II snap their five-match undefeated run. The two teams also endured a one-hour weather delay before kickoff.
Colorado Rapids 2 took a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute via penalty through Dantouma Toure. Quakes II later tied the match in the 38th minute with a penalty taken by Max Arfsten. Rapids 2 took the lead again in the 59th minute with a header by Dantouma Toure, marking the game-winning goal for the Colorado side.
Earthquakes II will now return to San Jose before facing Timbers2 in their third consecutive road match on Friday, July 22. Kickoff from Providence Park is scheduled for 1 p.m. PT and the match will be broadcast live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
