Sporting KC II scored twice in three minutes with goals from Pau Vidal and Sebastian Cruz in the 22nd and 25th minutes, respectively. Quakes II brought the score within one in the 52nd minute when Jerry Ayon capitalized on a cross from defender Aaron Edwards.
Earthquakes II will now prepare to face St. Louis CITY2 at home on Sunday, July 23. The match will kick off from PayPal Park in San Jose, California at 5 p.m. PT and will be streamed live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
