SAN JOSE, Calif. – Earthquakes II fell to Whitecaps FC 2 1-0 on Thursday night at PayPal Park in San Jose, Calif. Both sides played scoreless through the first half before Whitecaps FC 2 found the game-winner through a header in the 62nd minute. Quakes II’s best chance to equalize came in the 81st minute when Alejandro Cano tapped the ball in off a corner kick, but the goal was waved offside seconds later.
Earthquakes II will now prepare to host Timbers2 on Sunday, May 28. The match will kick off from PayPal Park at 2 p.m. PT and will be streamed live on MLSNEXTpro.com.
