COMMERCE CITY, Co. – Earthquakes II fell to Colorado Rapids 2 1-0 in the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference Semifinals on Sunday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Co. After receiving a red card in the second minute, Earthquakes II held off Colorado Rapids 2 for the majority of the match until Rapids 2 found the game-winning goal in the 84th minute.
Earthquakes II have now concluded their second season in MLS NEXT Pro, which was highlighted by advancing to the playoffs for the first time in club history. Tonight’s Western Conference Semifinal match also marks the furthest playoff run in team history.
