Quincy Amarikwa - San Jose Earthquakes - Surgery - 2016

SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes forward Quincy Amarikwa underwent a successful surgery on Thursday afternoon to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and lateral collateral ligament (LCL) in his left knee, suffered during Saturday’s match against Sporting Kansas City. The surgery was performed by Dr. Zackary Vaughn and is expected to sideline the striker for at least nine months.

Amarikwa, 28, tallied three goals and three assists in 23 appearances (22 starts) for the Earthquakes this season. Since being acquired via trade with the Chicago Fire last June, Amarikwa has scored nine goals, second most on the team over that timespan.
