You came to our Mascot Mania bracket this March and April, and you voted. Now, the fans have spoken—the winner of the inaugural MLS mascot bracket is…
…Q!
The final race came down to a close call between Q and Kingston, Orlando City’s lion.
Q, famously, is probably the only MLS mascot to stand up to David Beckham:
Here are some interesting facts about the bracket voting overall:
- More than 770,000 people overall voted across the rounds.
- The most votes came from the United States, and the second-most votes came from Brazil. We also saw strong voting showing from the U.K., Italy, Germany, and Japan.
- Many of Q’s votes came from “neutrals”—people outside of Florida and California, with no clear geographical ties to the Quakes. Still, it’s not too surprising, since Q and his team boast some years of MLS history.
