SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has waived midfielder JJ Koval.
Koval, 23, was the Earthquakes first-round selection (No. 9 overall) in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft out of Stanford University. The 23-year-old made 39 appearances for the club, including 16 starts, over the past two seasons.
